Kawak’s CH-47D Aerial Firefighting Tank System turns the legendary Chinook into a Type 1 aerial firefighting machine. Built in collaboration with front-line operators, the system includes two FAA-certified components: the Model 41400 Aerial Liquid Delivery System (ALDS) and the Model 41300 Auxiliary Hydraulic Power System. Together, they deliver unmatched performance, speed, and operational flexibility.

With a 2,500-gallon internal tank and the fastest fill time in the industry, the system refills in under 60 seconds using Kawak’s 4000 GPM hover pump. Automated flow control, split-drop capabilities, and optional foam injection give pilots the precision they need. The system is rated for full VNE cruise, enabling high-speed ferry with the tank installed.
